The Waipu Boat and Fishing Club was founded in 1962
The club was created by local fishing and boating enthusiasts.
It's a registered non-profit organisation catering to people of all ages who have a love for boating and fishing in the wider Bream Bay area.
Our clubrooms were originally built around 1905 and were the goods shed for freight by sea.
Boats would sail up the Waipu River, offload their cargo ready for it to be transported inland.
